§ 51.36 PRIVATELY OWNED FIRE HYDRANTS AND FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS (INCLUDING GOVERNMENTAL OWNED SYSTEMS).
   (A)   Fire hydrant and fire sprinkler systems installed on privately owned property as part of a privately owned fire protection system, within or outside the corporate limits of the city, will be installed by the property owner at the owner’s expense, in accordance with engineering plans approved by the city waterworks. The city waterworks will provide, at the city waterworks’ expense, any necessary extension of its distribution lines, to the private property line, to serve the private fire protection system. The charge for this extension work, to be assessed against the property owner, will be an annual charge equal to 24% of the cost of the extension work payable unless the entire cost of the extension work has been repaid to the city waterworks.
   (B)   Privately owned fire hydrants and sprinkler systems in existence on the effective date of this tariff will be assessed an annual service charge of $251.38 per individual hydrant or fire sprinkler system.
