§ 35.02 APPOINTMENT OF POLICE JUDGE.
   That there shall be appointed an officer to be known as the Police Court Judge of the municipality to preside and exercise the judicial powers, authority and duties authorized to the Police Court of the municipality. Said Police Court Judge shall be a resident of the city and shall be appointed by the Council. The term of the Police Court Judge shall be for one year; provided that the initial appointment of the Police Court Judge shall be effective as of July 1, 1982.
