All elections hereafter held, shall be held in accordance with the W. Va. Code Ch. 8, Art. 5, relating to election, appointment, qualification and compensation of officers; general provisions, relating to officers and employees; elections and petitions generally; and conflict of interests. The municipality does by this chapter elect to establish residency requirement for any elected officer to be that said elected officer must have resided within the municipality boundary limits for a period of at least 30 days preceding his or her election.
