The City Clerk is the connecting link between the City Council on the one hand and the various boards of the city, city employees and general public on the other hand.
(A) As City Treasurer, responsible for all funds of the city;
(B) Responsible to City Council;
(C) Responsible for maintaining all city records; and
(E) Must maintain a good relationship with the general public without bending or allowing special favors due to friendship or for any other reason. The same applies to City Council, the Mayor and Recorder, in so far as the relationship is concerned.
