§ 30.01 SALARIES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS.
   (A)   The elected officials of the city shall receive a fixed salary or compensation for services rendered as an elected official of the city, and said fixed salary or compensation shall be applicable to the various elected officials of the city as follows.
      (1)   The Mayor shall receive the amount of $3,500 per year, being paid the amount of $116.67, less required payroll deductions, per regular or special Council meeting that is attended by the Mayor for a maximum number of 30 meetings per year. Should the Mayor attend additional Council meeting in excess of 30 meetings per year as held by the city, then the Mayor shall not be paid any wages for the said additional Council meeting in excess of 30 per year.
      (2)   The Recorder shall receive a salary not to exceed the amount of $2,500 per year, being paid the amount of $83.33, less required payroll deductions, per regular or special Council meeting that is attended by the Recorder for a maximum number of 30 meetings per year. Should the Recorder attend additional Council meetings in excess of 30 meeting per year a held by the city, then the Recorder shall not be paid any wages for the said additional Council meetings in excess of 30 per year,
      (3)   Each of the Council members of the city shall receive a salary not to exceed the amount of $1,500 per year, being paid the amount of $50, less required payroll deductions, per regular or special Council meeting that is attended by the Council member for a maximum number of 30 meetings per year as held by the city, then the Council member shall not be paid any wages for the said additional Council meetings in excess of 30 per year.
   (B)   For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      COUNCIL MEETING. The regularly scheduled second and fourth Tuesday of each month Council meeting and any and all special Council meetings as called for by the City Council at which time the Council attends, a quorum is established and at which meeting Council may vote on matters affecting the City. COUNCIL MEETING does not include work meetings at which votes may not be taken or any other special meeting which is not called as a regular or special Council meeting.
      COUNCIL MEETING THAT IS ATTENDED BY. Such regularly or specially scheduled Council meetings at which a quorum is established, Council may vote on issues affecting the city and at which said meeting the Council member, including the Mayor and Recorder, must be present at the time that quorum is established or said Council member, including the Mayor and Recorder, shall not be paid for attendance at said meeting. It is further provided that should any member of Council, including the Mayor and Recorder, not be present at the time that quorum is established, said member of Council, including the Mayor and Recorder, shall not be paid for attendance at said meeting, regardless if said member does appear and attend said Council meeting at some period of time following the establishment of quorum.
      QUORUM IS ESTABLISHED. As being at such time as the first order of business of the Council meeting is considered. Said first order of business shall be in accordance with the agenda for each meeting as previously posted.
