§ 90.124 FEE; DEPOSIT.
   (A)   The fee for cutting streets or sidewalks shall be the actual total cost thereof, a deposit. Equal to the estimated cost as determined by the Director, shall be placed with the city upon making application for the excavation.
   (B)   When the opening is being made and it is found that the cost will be larger than was estimated in the application, the applicant shall immediately pay the city the remainder of the fee which would have been charged for the opening or cut in the first instance. Any excess shall be returned to the depositor.
   (C)   All fees collected for the purpose of opening or cutting of any street or sidewalk in the city shall be paid into the General Fund.
   (D)   The deposit required herein shall not be exacted or collected from any person doing or performing any work or excavation contemplated in this subchapter by virtue and under authority of any contract with the city for the work or excavation.
