§ 90.123 BONDS.
   No permit shall be issued under the provisions of this subchapter to any person until the person shall have filed with the City Clerk, a bond in the sum of 25% of the contract or a minimum of $5,000, which shall cover and embrace any work, opening or excavation done or performed under any permit issued during a period of 12 months after the date of the bond. The bond shall be approved by the City Manager and shall indemnify the city from all claims, suits, actions and proceedings of every character which may be brought against it for any injuries or damages to any person or property received or sustained by any person resulting from any accident that may occur upon any work or excavation done by authority of any permit, whether caused by the negligence of the permittee, the permittee’s agent, servant or employees or otherwise, or from any unforseen contingency that may occur, or from any act of omission or commission of the permittee, agent, servant or employee, during the performance of any work or excavation.
