(A) A violation of this chapter is a municipal infraction punishable by a fine not exceeding $500 per day of violation.
(B) A knowing violation of this chapter or interference with the enforcement of this chapter by the enforcement agent or any person duly authorized to carry out the purposes of this chapter is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for up to 90 days, and/or fine of up to $500 or both.
(C) An action for the violation of this chapter shall be instituted in the 86th District Court for Grand Traverse County. Fines and costs imposed or assessed in such an action shall be distributed in accordance with M.C.L.A. § 600.8379.
