§ 10.99  PENALTY.
   (A)   Generally.
      (1)   Unless another penalty is expressly provided in this code or in any amendment thereof, a person convicted of a violation of any section or chapter or provision of this code or convicted of the commission of any act declared to be a misdemeanor or an offense by this code shall be punished by a fine which shall not exceed the sum of $500 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
      (2)   This code may also be enforced by suit for injunction, action for damages, or by or through any other legal process appropriate to the enforcement thereof.
   (B)   Aiding and abetting.  Whenever any act or omission to act is a violation of this code or of any rule or regulation adopted hereunder, any person who causes, secures, aids or abets such violation may be prosecuted and any conviction thereof shall be punished as if he or she had directly committed such violation.
