APPENDIX B:  INITIAL WATER AND SEWER RATES

The rates used for the purposes of this Appendix B are 2006 rates effective at the time of the code’s publication. Please be aware that rate changes are as set from time to time by village resolution and maintained by the Village Clerk.
   (A)    The monthly sewer rate ($31.00) never changes unless there is a sewer rate increase.
   (B)   The minimum monthly water rate is $10.
   (C)    If you move into a residence of the village, you are required to pay a $100 security deposit.  If you are the owner of a vacant home, you will still be charged a monthly fee for the sewer ($31.00).  This is by the Code of Ordinances of the Village of Kingsley.
   (D)    Bills are usually sent out around the twenty-seventh of one month, and due around the twenty- fifth of the next month.
   (E)   Bills are made out for the month prior, (such as, your May bill is for the water/sewer usage in April.)
   (F)   Every quarter the meters are read by the DPW Department; March, June, September, and December.
   (G)   Each household is allotted 2,000 gallons per month (or 6,000 gallons per quarter).
   (H)   Any water usage over the 2,000 gallons per month (or 6,000 gallons per quarter) the charge is $1 for every 1,000 gallons over the 6,000-gallon allotment.
   (I)   If your water is shut-off for nonpayment, or the DPW Department makes a house call to collect a past due amount, you will be charged a $25 service fee and will be required to pay a $100 deposit fee.
   (J)   Example:
