§ 14-209 SIZE, WEIGHT AND LOAD.
   (a)   It is unlawful for any person to drive or move or for the owner to cause or knowingly permit to be driven or moved, on any highway in the city, any vehicle or vehicles of a size or weight exceeding the limitations stated in the statutes of the state, and the maximum size and weight of vehicles therein specified shall be lawful throughout such city, and the governing body shall have no power or authority to alter the limitations, except as express authority may be granted in the state statutes.
   (b)   The provisions of this section governing size, weight and load shall not apply to fire apparatus, road machinery or to implements of husbandly temporarily moved upon a highway.
