(a) Under the direction of the City Manager, the Superintendent of Public Works shall have general supervision of the water works system, sanitary sewer system and the sewage treatment and disposal plant as well as the streets, parks and cemetery operations of the city.
(b) Under the direction of the City Manager, the Superintendent of Public Works shall have direct supervision of all assistants under him or her.
(c) Assistants shall perform such duties as the Superintendent or the City Manager may direct.
