§ 7-505 ABOVE-GROUND TANKS.
   (a)   The storage of flammable liquids, outside of buildings, in above-ground tanks other than bulk stations and except as provided in division (b) below, in the city is prohibited; except that at public filling, or service stations handling a general line of liquid fuels for sale to customers, any such fuel may be so stored in a quantity not exceeding 55 gallons; and except also that person requiring liquid fuel for the operation of tools, machinery or equipment used by such person in the operation and carrying on of his or her trade, business or occupation within the city, may maintain such storage for such use at such place of business in quantity not to exceed 300 gallons; provided, that such storage tank shall not be located nearer than 25 feet from any building, nor within 20 feet of a street, alley or public way of the city, or the property line of adjoining premises.
   (b)   The location of all other above-ground flammable liquid storage tanks shall be limited as follows.
      (1)   (A)   Places where storage of flammable liquids in excess of 300 gallons is maintained in above-ground tanks, and as defined in regulations of the State Fire Marshal, are defined as bulk stations, and the location of such is prohibited in the fire limits of the city and in the residence zone of the city.
         (B)   The minimum distance of such above-ground tanks to the line of adjoining property is limited as follows.

      (2)   All gas-tight tanks, including conservation-type tanks with capacities in excess of 50,000 gallons and all tanks for the storage of crude petroleum shall be located as follows.
