Both family and public swimming pools shall be provided with an unobstructed walk area of not less than four feet in width and extending entirely around the pool. The walk area shall be constructed with impervious material and the surfaces shall be of such as to be smooth and easily cleaned and of non-slip construction. The slope of the walk shall have a pitch of at least one-quarter-inch per foot, designed to prevent back drainage from entering the pool.
