Before work is commenced on the construction of either a public swimming pool or a family swimming pool, or any alteration, addition, remodeling or other improvement thereof, a permit must be obtained from the City Clerk for such work. An application for permission to construct, alter, add to, remodel or otherwise improve either a public or family swimming pool must be filed with the Building Inspector of this city, along with complete plans and specifications for such work, and must have the approval of the Mayor and the City Commissioners before a permit may be issued.
