No retractable awning, marquee or canopy along a street or avenue shall be maintained, let down or extended outward so that any part of the frame or rigid portion thereof shall be at a lesser height above the sidewalk level than seven feet nor extend outward from the property line a greater distance than ten feet, nor in any event to a point beyond one foot back from the back of the curb.
