A. Maximum Amount Of Sale: Any sale of real or personal property by the city for an amount that exceeds ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) may only be done by authority of a special ordinance other than an emergency ordinance.
B. Requirement Of Special Ordinance:
1. Said special ordinance shall be published in full in a newspaper of general circulation within the city within ten (10) days after its passage, and shall include a section reading substantially as follows:
This ordinance shall be referred to a vote of the electors of the city of Kingfisher if a proper referendum petition is properly filed within thirty (30) days after its passage; otherwise, it shall go into effect thirty (30) days after its passage.
2. This special ordinance language and notice procedure is intended as an exception to, and not a replacement for, ordinance language requirements and notice procedure contained elsewhere in the city charter. (Ord. 911, 4-9-2007; amd. 2013 Code)
