A. Membership; Term; Removals; Vacancies: There is hereby created a zoning board of adjustment consisting of five (5) members, each to be appointed for a term of three (3) years and removable for cause by the city commission upon written charges and after public hearing. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of any member whose term becomes vacant.
B. Continuance Of Existing Board: It is specifically provided, however, that on the effective date hereof, such board of adjustment as was legally in existence immediately prior to such date shall be constituted as the board of adjustment hereby created, and the terms of the then members of said board shall expire three (3) years after the appointment to their current term, or until their successors are duly appointed and qualified.
C. Appointment: Said board of adjustment shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the city commission. (Ord. 939, 11-14-2011)
