The planning and zoning commission shall have the power to prepare and to recommend to the city commission for adoption a zoning ordinance to regulate and restrict the height, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures, the percentage of lot that may be occupied, the size of yards, courts, and other open spaces, the density of population, the location and use of buildings, structures, arid land for trade, industry, residences, and other purposes. The planning and zoning commission shall also have all other powers conferred upon zoning commissions by 11 Oklahoma Statutes sections 43-101 through 43-115 and other state law, as amended.
