A. Membership; Appointment: There is hereby created a planning and zoning commission of the city. Said commission shall be composed of seven (7) appointive members, all of whom shall be residents of the city nominated by the mayor and appointed by the city commission. The city manager and city engineer shall be ex officio members of the commission without vote.
B. Terms: Each appointed member shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
C. Qualifications; Compensation; Removals And Vacancies: The appointed members of said commission shall be nominated and appointed solely with reference to their fitness and without reference to party affiliation, and shall serve without compensation. Members may be removed by the mayor with approval of the city commission, but only for the good of service. Vacancies occurring otherwise than through the expiration of term shall be filled only for the unexpired term. (Ord. 939, 11-14-2011)
