1-13-3: ELECTION OF OFFICERS:
   A.   Election of the officers shall be held the third Friday of November at the Senior Citizens Center at the hour of two o'clock (2:00) P.M. New officers shall begin January 1 of the year following their election.
   B.   There shall be elected from the membership the following officers who shall serve one year terms:
      1.   A president, who shall be the presiding officer at all meetings, moderate all committee meetings, and appoint all standing and special committees.
      2.   A vice president who shall act on behalf of the president in his or her absence. The vice president shall have the same powers as the president when acting in his or her behalf.
      3.   A treasurer who shall be the chief financial officer, who shall collect all revenue and deposit such in the bank account of the Senior Citizens Center, keeping accurate records of the same; disburse funds only as directed by proper authority of the center's officers; provide in written form an accurate financial report at business meetings.
The elected officers may require that the treasurer be bonded. Such bond shall be at the expense of the Senior Citizens Center.
      4.   A secretary who shall keep accurate and permanent records of all meetings, regular and special; notify the press and furnish other public notices of all meetings at least forty eight (48) hours preceding the time set for meetings.
   C.   Nomination shall be from the floor and election shall be by a vote in excess of fifty percent (50%). Should there be more than two (2) candidates for any office and should any one of those candidates fail to receive fifty percent (50%) of the votes cast, the candidate receiving the least number of votes shall be dropped and the votes shall be recast until such time as one person receives at least fifty percent (50%) of the votes cast.
   D.   There shall be no requirements on the length of time a person has been attending the center activities to be elected to an office. (2013 Code)
