All wells as defined by section 14-1-1 of this title or any of their related equipment used or capable of being used in connection with the drilling, maintaining or operation of oil or gas wells shall be enclosed in site-proof fencing, but one fence will suffice if a group of wells is enclosed in one tract or parcel of land. Such fence shall be supported by steel posts or other nonflammable material and shall be woven wire of not less than 14-gauge wire with mesh of not less than two inches (2") nor more than four inches (4") and shall be at least six feet (6') high. All gates allowing access to the premises shall include locks and all gates must remain locked at all times the premises are unoccupied. (Ord. 975, 10-10-2017)
