12-3-1: URBAN DESIGN PRINCIPLE; INTENT:
   A.   Quality Of Design: The quality of design of the urban area is dependent on the quality of design of the individual subdivisions that compose it. Good community design requires the coordination of the efforts of each subdivider and developer of land within the urban area. Therefore, the city administration and planning and zoning commission should assure the design of each subdivision conforms with the principles established by the comprehensive plan, including specific elements such as land use, circulation, community facilities and public utility services, and in accordance with the general principles set out in this chapter.
   B.   Intent: It is intended that the urban area should be designed as a group of integrated residential neighborhoods and appropriate commercial and industrial and public facilities. (Ord. 938, 11-14-2011)
