6-1-2: WEAPONS AND FIREARMS:
   A.   Carrying Harmful Weapons: It is unlawful for any person to carry upon or about his person, either concealed or not concealed, any pistol, revolver, dirk, bowie knife, razor, slingshot, billy, brass, lead or iron knuckle, or any other weapon that is capable of providing injury or death, or any weapon of sufficient strength and means of producing injury or death of another, except when doing so in the line of duty or as may be permitted by law.
   B.   Discharging Firearms:
      1.   It is unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm in the city except when doing so in the line of duty, when lawfully doing so in defense of oneself, of another person or of property or when otherwise authorized by this code or any law or ordinance.
      2.   It is unlawful to discharge an air rifle or BB gun in the city.
   C.   Bow And Arrow Use: It shall be unlawful for any person to use a bow and arrow or other type of weapon used for the purpose of injuring person, animal or property within the city limits; and any person violating this subsection, upon conviction thereof, shall be guilty of committing a misdemeanor, and shall be fined in an amount set by the board of commissioners as provided in the fines and fees schedule in appendix A, division III of this code.
   D.   Possession Of Loaded Pellet Or BB Gun Or Loaded Firearm:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or possess a loaded pellet or BB gun or a loaded firearm within the city unless authorized to do so by law.
      2.   If it shall appear to a duly commissioned officer from the circumstances surrounding an event or situation that a person is possessing a loaded pellet or BB gun or other loaded firearm, such officer may immediately demand to inspect such firearm. If such person should refuse the inspection, such refusal shall constitute a misdemeanor, and the violator shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount set by the board of commissioners as provided in the fines and fees schedule in appendix A, division III of this code.
      3.   If a person is convicted of possessing a loaded pellet or BB gun or other loaded firearm of any kind and said person is not authorized to have possession of the same, said person shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined in an amount set by the board of commissioners as provided in the fines and fees schedule in appendix A, division III of this code.
