§ 71.24 NO THROUGH TRUCK TRAFFIC PERMITTED ON CERTAIN TOWN-MAINTAINED STREETS.
   (A)   No through truck shall mean: no vehicle with two or more axles and exceeding 10,000 pounds in gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) shall be permitted to travel on designated town-maintained streets except for the purpose of discharging and/or collecting passengers or loading and/or unloading materials to property abutting said street, said vehicle having used the shortest route across town-maintained streets to reach the point of discharge and/or collection or the point of loading and/or unloading. The following vehicles shall be excluded from the foregoing meaning: vehicle-drawn trailers, when the vehicle drawing the trailer is not designated primarily for drawing a trailer; vehicles used pursuant to municipal, county, state or federal government operations or franchises.
   (B)   Through trucks are not permitted on the following streets within the Town of Kill Devil Hills and shall be designated with appropriate signage as a "No Thru Trucks" area.
      (1)   Wrightsville Avenue.
      (2)   Memorial Boulevard.
