The Police Department shall maintain the confidentiality of all applicant information which would require its agents to invoke statutory enforcement obligations as set forth in G.S. § 15A-401. Any information found in the background investigation which is not designated as public record shall not be released. Any criminal histories obtained from the NCSBI/DCI shall also be kept in a confidential manner in accordance with NCSBI/DCI Administrative Code.
