For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
APPLICANT LOG. A disposition log listing the name and address of the applicant and names of the other persons in the household who are 16 years of age or older.
MCGRUFF. The nationally recognized crime prevention symbol and the McGruff dog costume.
MCGRUFF HOUSE. A house in the town designated as a house where a child who is lost, has run away from home, is abused, neglected or otherwise emotionally or physically in danger may seek refuge and assistance.
PROGRAM. The McGruff House Program in Kill Devil Hills.
PROGRAM COORDINATOR. A sworn officer of the Police Department designated by the Police Chief and assigned the duties of organizing, monitoring and coordinating the Program.
