Any person, firm or corporation convicted of any violation of this section 10-2-6 including, but not limited to, a maximum axle or gross limit shall be fined five hundred dollars ($500.00) and subsequent convictions by the same person, firm, or corporation within a period of one year after the date of the first offense, shall be fined in an amount not less than five hundred dollars ($500.00) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
