A. Foundation: Foundation shall be concrete piers, three feet six inches (3'6") deep, eight inches (8") to ten inches (10") diameter placed as approved.
B. Beam And Post Anchors: Beam and post anchors are required; no concrete embedded wood is permitted.
C. Framing: Framing shall be minimum two inch by eight inch (2" x 8") joists, sixteen inches (16") on center.
D. Ledger Boards: Ledger boards shall be attached with through bolts and approved lateral fastener. No ledger board shall be attached over or through brick, masonry or stone.
E. Materials: Structural elements shall be conventional lumber materials. Nonstructural elements (i.e., decking, railing system) shall be conventional lumber materials or manufactured/synthetic/engineered, nongloss materials, installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.
F. Railing System: Railing system to meet force requirements in IRC 2009.
