Upon written request of an owner or other person liable for the payment for water used on the premises, the Water Department will test the meter supplying the premises after a disconnection fee is paid. The person requesting the test may be present when the test is made, and in all cases the Superintendent will report the results. If an excess of 2% on a flow equal to 1/8 of the diameter of the service or greater is found, the dollar fee will be refunded as well as a 2 month credit or charge based on water used during the past 2 months only.
