The Water Department shall be under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor, who shall be responsible to the town Board of Trustees. The Supervisor or any employee of the Water Department, shall be permitted at all reasonable hours to enter the premises or buildings of consumers for the purposes of reading meters, examining water pipes, shutting off water from residences or businesses for non-payment. The Supervisor shall be permitted to turn on or off water connections due to breaks or damage. The Supervisor shall make a written report to the Board of Trustees prior to each regular meeting of the Board of Trustees covering the work completed. This report shall include all new water connections, new lines constructed, repairs and necessary replacements made, the number of hours worked and he or she shall make the recommendations as seem proper for the efficient operation of the water system and improvements of the same.
