At the first regular meeting of the Library Board in May of each year, the Board shall elect from its number, a Chairperson of the Board and Vice Chairperson, each of whom shall serve until the first meeting of the Board in May of the following year. The Vice Chairperson shall act in the absence or disability of the Chairperson. In case of death or retirement of an officer, a successor shall be elected immediately.
