Each member of the Board, before entering upon his or her official duties, shall give bond to the town in the amount of $500, if required by the Board of Trustees, for the faithful performance of his or her duties and shall take and file in the Town Auditor’s office with the bond, the usual oath of office required from appointive officers of the town. The town shall pay any premium for the bonds required to be given members of the Board or its officers or employees. All official bonds required under the provisions of this section shall be approved by the Board of Trustees.
