§ 90.20 RABIES CONTROL, BITING ANIMALS AND QUARANTINES.
   Every animal which bites a person shall be promptly reported to the animal warden, and shall there- upon be securely quarantined for a period of not less than 10 days. The quarantine may be at the shelter designated as the county animal shelter, or at the owners' option, in a veterinary hospital within Pennington County. The expenses of the quarantine shall be paid by the owner of the dog. Every owner having knowledge that his or her animal has bitten, or is suspected of biting a human being, shall forthwith report the same to the county animal control officer for disposition of the animal.
