§ 2-116 EXECUTIVE SESSIONS.
   (A)   Authority. The Council may hold executive sessions as permitted by the state’s Freedom of Information Act (S.C. Code §§ 30-4-10 et seq.) at such times and places as the Council may deem necessary and in the public interest.
   (B)   Majority vote required. A majority vote of the Council shall be necessary to call such sessions.
   (C)   Public vote required. Before going into executive session, the public agency shall vote in public on the question and when such vote is favorable the presiding officer shall announce the specific purpose of the executive session.
