Editor’s note:
   In 1985, the General Assembly adopted the South Carolina Drought Response Act, being S.C. Code §§ 49-23-10 et seq. The act required that “...every public entity in this state engaged in the business or activity of supplying water for any purpose shall develop and implement drought response ordinances...” The act is now enforced by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR).
