(A) According to the Kentucky Constitution, the franchise cannot be automatically renewed without requesting new proposals from the franchisee and other interested companies.
(B) If the Fiscal Court is interested in continuing to franchise for CATV services, the Court shall inform the Board of such intentions at least 12 months in advance of the end of the franchise agreement. The Court shall then direct the Board as to what procedures to use in awarding a new franchise.
