(a) All employees shall be entitled to the following paid holidays: New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.
(b) If any of the aforesaid holidays falls on Saturday, the Friday immediately preceding shall be observed as the holiday. If any of the aforesaid holidays fall on Sunday, the Monday immediately succeeding shall be observed as the holiday.
(c) An employee who does not work on a recognized holiday shall receive eight hours straight time pay at his or her regular hourly rate for each of the above holidays.
(d) If an employee’s work schedule is other than Monday through Friday, he or she shall receive, in addition to his or her regular hourly pay, eight hours straight time pay at his or her regular rate for holidays observed on his or her day off regardless of the day of the week on which they are observed.
(e) All employees who work on a recognized holiday other than New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day shall receive eight hours holiday pay in addition to time and one-half their regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the holiday, except salaried employees. If a salaried employee works on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day, he or she shall receive another day off with pay.
