832.24 RULES AND REGULATIONS; AUTHORITY OF SAFETY-SERVICE DIRECTOR; REVOCATION OF LICENSES.
The Safety-Service Director shall make regulations which he may deem necessary to assure compliance with the provisions of this chapter and he shall have continuing jurisdiction over licenses issued. In the event of misconduct or acts on the part of any driver duly licensed hereunder showing such licensee to be unsuitable, the Director shall make a complete investigation into the report of misconduct and unsuitable acts, shall cause evidence to be submitted and shall give the accused licensee the privilege of producing evidence refuting and rebutting the misconduct charges. Upon satisfactory proof of the act of misconduct or unsuitability charged, the Director shall immediately revoke the driver's license for an indefinite period. Upon the filing of misconduct charges against two or more drivers of taxicabs for the same licensee during any one year, the Director shall immediately notify the licensee employer to appear before him to show cause why his license should not be revoked because of the unsuitability and misconduct of his driver employees, at which time such licensee may produce and offer any and all evidence and testimony in his behalf. If the Director finds that the licensee has been guilty of willfully and/or negligently employing unsuitable drivers, then the licensee's license may be revoked.
