249.31 RECLASSIFICATION.
   Whenever an employee is reclassified, the employee shall be assigned to the pay range designated for the employee’s new classification. The employee’s pay rate shall remain the same as a result of such action, except in the case where the rate is below the minimum for the assigned range or above the maximum. In such cases, the pay rate shall be adjusted up to the minimum of the range or down to the maximum step of the range, whichever is appropriate.
