234.01 COMPOSITION.

The Fire Department shall be composed of the following officers and other members, who shall receive salaries as provided in ordinances concerning wages and salaries as from time to time adopted by Council, payable biweekly out of the Fire Fund of the General Fund of the City:

(a) A Chief;

(b) An Assistant Captain (optional);

(d) Not more than sixteen regular certified firefighters.
