232.01 COMPOSITION.

The Police Department shall be composed of a Chief of Police, one Lieutenant, two Sergeants and regular certified patrolmen and probationary appointees in such number as Council shall from time to time determine. The members of the Department shall be compensated as provided by Council and shall be paid biweekly from the Police Fund of the General Fund.
