438.31 JAKE BRAKING PROHIBITED.

(a) No person shall apply an engine brake (a practice commonly known as “jake braking”) when operating a motor vehicle upon a street or highway within the municipality in such a manner as to cause excessive or unusual noise.

(b) Whoever violates this section shall be deemed guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
