1438.04 LIMITATIONS ON MOVEMENT OF STRUCTURES.
No person shall remove or cause to be removed any building or addition to any building more than ten feet high, the outer walls of which are not constructed and made entirely of iron, stone, brick and mortar, or some of them, from any place or site without the limits of a square or half-square to another place within the same. However, the Fire Chief may permit the removal of such building, or addition to any building more than ten feet high, from one site or place within any square or half-square to another place within any of the same, when, in his opinion, no danger will ensue to adjacent or contiguous property. Request and permission for such removal shall be in writing and shall accurately describe the building or addition to a building to be removed and the site or place from and to which such removal is proposed to be made.
