Each section, part of a section and subsection of this chapter, where divisible, is hereby declared to be separable, and the invalidity of any section, part of a section or subsection, where divisible, shall not be construed to affect the validity of any other section, part of a section or subsection, all of which would have been adopted without the invalid section, part of a section or subsection. Nor shall the invalidity of any section of this chapter, as applied to existing buildings and structures, be deemed to invalidate the same as applicable to buildings and structures erected after the effective date of this chapter.
