Whenever the Safety-Service Director determines that a building or structure, or any work in connection therewith, which is regulated by this chapter, is being erected, constructed, altered, repaired or demolished in violation of the plans and permit approved and issued by the Director, he shall serve written notice and an order upon the permit holder directing discontinuance of such violation and shall require such remedial action on the part of the permit holder as may be necessary to bring the erection, construction, alteration, repair or demolition within the terms of the approved plans and the permit.
