If the nuisance is not abated within the time specified in the notice, the following shall occur:
A. The City or its agents shall have the power to abate such nuisance, including the power to remove material or property constituting the nuisance from public or private property.
B. The expense incurred in abating such nuisance shall be a lien on the premises and/or property and an obligation of the person or entity creating, erecting, maintaining or permitting the nuisance to exist, which obligation shall be due and owing within thirty (30) days of demand. If not paid within said thirty (30) days, the City may perfect such lien in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. (Ord. 1984-2, 6-11-1984)
