§ 30.076 APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS; TERMS OF OFFICE; OATH.
   (A)   The Library Board shall consist of five members, to be appointed by the Mayor, with Council approval. The Council may select one member of the Board from among its own members. Any member shall be automatically terminated from the appointed position upon three consecutive absences without due cause from a regularly scheduled Library Board meeting.
   (B)   The Library Board of five members shall serve up to three consecutive three-year terms ending on January 1 of each year. Successive appointees shall hold their offices until their successors are appointed and qualified. Vacancies during the term shall be filled by the Mayor with approval of the Council for the unexpired portion of the term. Every appointed Board member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his or her duties, take an oath that he or she will faithfully discharge the duties of the office. All members shall serve without compensation.
