(A) The Cable Communications Advisory Committee shall consist of five members, all residents of the city. All members of the Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor with City Council approval and the Council shall select one member of the Board from among its members. Any member shall be automatically terminated from the appointed position upon three consecutive absences without due cause from regularly scheduled Cable Communications Advisory Committee meetings.
(B) The members of the Cable Communications Advisory Committee shall serve up to three consecutive three-year terms ending on January 1 of each year. Successive appointees shall hold their offices until their successors are appointed and qualified. Vacancies during the term shall be filled by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council for the unexpired portion of the term. Every appointed Board member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his or her duties, take an oath that he or she will faithfully discharge the duties of the office. All members shall serve without compensation.
