(A) It shall be unlawful to keep hens within the village limits and hens shall be subject to this subchapter, along with the animals listed there.
(B) Any person having hens within the village limits that is currently in compliance herewith, as it exists prior to this 2018 amendment, shall be allowed to keep the current hens as long as that person stays in compliance with the hen ordinance as it existed prior to this 2018 amendment. No additional hens may be added. Upon none of the current hens in existence at the adoption of this amendment remaining, then compliance with this 2018 amendment ordinance is required.
(C) The presence of hens in violation of this section is declared a nuisance and is subject to penalties as provided in the village ordinances.
